Military Technical College Visit-NPP Engineers
Within the context of the continuous cooperation between the various Egyptian entities, and in order to transfer successful experiences and expertise, the Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority prepared on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, a visit from the Military Technical College that included a number of engineers working in the Nuclear Power Plants Authority, with the aim of transferring the expertise of the Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority and presenting Its role as an independent regulatory body that undertakes all regulatory and supervisory work related to nuclear activities for the peaceful uses of atomic energy and ionizing radiation in a manner that guarantees the safety and security of human, property and the environment.
Prof. Dr. Samy Shaaban, Chairman of ENRRA, started the visit by welcoming the attendees and stressed the importance of the continuous cooperation between Egyptian authorities in various fields. Then His Excellency gave a brief presentation on the most important developments that the authority has gone through and what was achieved in order to create a well-developed and independent entity that performs its regulatory role efficiently, transparently and effectively.
ENRRA’s team has provided a full explanation of the most important efforts currently being undertaken to raise the efficiency of ENRRA’s employees, and the various training programs Co-organized between the center of excellence and Technical Support Organizations, as well as efforts to establish an integrated and effective management system consistent with global experiences in this field.
The visit concluded with a tour at ENRRA’s new headquarters, mainly ENRRA’s laboratories equipped with the best and latest equipment and technologies.
It is worth mentioning, that the visit was accompanied by Dr. Mustafa Darwish, head of the laboratories and technical support department at the authority, Dr. Abdel Fattah Suleiman, head of the Center of Excellence, Dr. Sherif Bakr, head of Quality and Audit Department, and Dr. Sahar Ahmed, head of the human resources department.
